Rabbi Amanda Laurer, a former student Rabbi at BJC who is now on active duty aboard

a U.S. Navy ship is asking for donations for her fellow crew-mates.

Sailors who spend months at sea appreciate items that help them occupy idle time

and remind them of home. Some items requested are: pen-pals, cards, CDs, DVDs, toileries,

and non-perishable foods. You can contact Amanda directly via email at lurera@ddg75.navy.mil.
