In 2004, Bristol Jewish Center (Congregation Ahavath Achim) observed the
100th anniversary of its founding.
BJC was the first Jewish Congregation in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
While celebrating the Synagogue's rich past, the Congregation is dedicated
to ensuring its future by:
| |
|
|
| |
- Continuing a warm,
friendly, family tradition as an "adult" congregation,
which encourages a diverse Jewish community
- Maintaining the Synagogue
building as a physical and spiritual home
- Encouraging Congregant
participation in weekly services through the use of a prayer book
that embraces everyone
- Continuing to receive
inspiration and leadership from Reconstructionist student Rabbis
who come to the Synagogue with a wealth of non-Synagogue life
experience
- Encouraging unaffiliated
"empty nesters" to join with the Congregation for their
spiritual needs
- Maintaining an affordable
membership fee structure that is all-inclusive. No extra fees
for High Holidays or building fund
